Montreal Fashion week was outstanding.
The venue was divine. Models were stunning. The bubbly and cupcakes delicious.
I cannot stress this enough, ’Montrealers’ are so friendly and warm,
they offer up such great hospitality.
And of course THE FASHIONS… ooolala!

Swim Drink Fish Music is an online music and audio experience developed by Lake Ontario Waterkeeper in collaboration with other Waterkeeper organizations across Canada.

The Swim Drink Fish Music Club brings together artists, activists, and citizens who care about clean water. By celebrating the Club’s exclusive and rare music, you are contributing to the fight for swimmable, drinkable, fishable water in your community.

We’re proud to announce Vangel’s contribution to SDFM!  Artists that have contributed to SDFM in the past jnclude: Broken Social Scene, Sarah Harmer, Chris Brown, Ohbijou, Kate Fenner, Stars, Bruce Cockburn, Pete Seeger, Gordon Downie (The Tragically Hip), The Sadies & more.

Check out Vangel’s appropriately entitled tune, “Cold Rain” ( off the Biblio EP ) + an original audio story, which plays for Swim Drink Fish Music Club members just before the song.

The seventh episode was hosted by the lovely folks at Show & Tell Gallery. Lucky members of the packed audience enjoyed hilarious interviews with Jay and Matt of the sensational online comedy series Nirvana the Band the Show as well as with the five man art collective Team Macho. To top the evening off, Everything All the Time got the windows all fogged up with their soulful synth pop stylings. Sona was born in Tehran, the capital and largest city in Iran. She now lives and breathes in Toronto. Sona is an artist. A daughter. A granddaughter. A niece. A friend.  She holds close family ties, citing ‘memories, childhood, photographs, anything my grandma has given to me’ as some of her favorite things.

Safay clothes bring original artworks to cloth. As an urban dweller, buildings inspire her: houses, apartments, places she’s lived. The pieces currently featured at Freedom depict a sketch of Sona with arms wrapped around a Tehran tower.

No submission fee is applicable, however selected artists are subject to an exhibition fee of $20. All works sold in the premises will be subject to 30% commission.
